Advanced: How to install and activate OptiSigns Remote Agent on Windows

If you are using the Pro or above subscription plan, and running Windows, Linux, or Raspberry Pi devices, you can install optisigns-remote-agent add-on that will allow you from the portal to remotely control your device.

Before we start, please make sure you have the following:

  • Your device has OptiSigns Digital Signage player version 4.2.1 or newer installed. You can download the latest version here.
  • There's a network connection to your device
  • You have enough authorization, and privilege to install apps, and background services on your Windows device
  • optisigns-remote-agent runs on Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11.

How to install and activate OptiSigns Remote Agent on Windows

Download OptiSigns Remote Agent for Windows.

Run it, and follow the steps to install it.

Once installation is finished. Go to app.optisigns.com

You can click Edit Screen, then "Advanced" and "More" to expand device management options.
Then click Activate.

It will take a moment to activate (15-30 seconds) to download and install the agent, depending on your internet connection. After activation is successful. You can click Open to open a remote session on your device.

That's it, your remote session will be open in a new browser tab for you to use.
